The 49 CMY is sometimes referred to as a 44 + 5 because she is the same as a 44 but with a 5-foot cockpit. The 49 carries more fuel, usually 1,100 gallons and is a little faster than the 44, due to her longer waterline length. Very popular now. An excellent cruiser for a couple with occasional guests. This is an excellent boat for the tropics because of the large shaded area under the usual Bimini top. Most people enclose the bridge with full canvas and run the boat from the bridge. Some models have a steering station in the saloon that is rarely used because of the comfort and visibility from the bridge. Not in production in 2019.
