39 Hudson Coaster

The Hudson Coaster was built by the now defunct Hudson Corporation in Taiwan. Normally powered by a single Lehman 120, the 39 foot Hudson Coaster was an authorized Art DeFever tri-cabin design. It sports a 14 foot beam with an aft master stateroom with full head, a galley / salon combination, and a forward V-berth with wet head. The design sacrificed deck space for interior space and so the Coaster is much roomier inside than most boats it’s size, including a spacious lazarette. The Coaster cruises at about 7 knots. Little is known about Hudson Corporation or the history of the Coaster but at least 20 - 30 of the boats were built during 1977 and 1978 before the company went out of business.
